General Requirements for studying in Germany

To start a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at Otto von Guericke University (OVGU), you need to meet certain basic requirements. Here’s an overview of the most important information:

University Entrance Qualification (HZB) for Bachelor's Programs

To enroll in a Bachelor’s program, you need a University Entrance Qualification (HZB). This includes certificates that qualify you for higher education in Germany, primarily your high school diploma. Depending on your country of origin, you might also need to complete several semesters of study in your home country.

The recognition of your certificates depends on your country of origin and will only be confirmed after your application documents have been reviewed.

The recognition of your certificates depends on your country of origin and will only be confirmed after your application documents have been reviewed.

Admission may come with conditions: You may need to complete supplementary modules within the first two semesters to fulfill missing requirements. A maximum of 15 credit points (CP) in the required areas may be accepted as missing.
